Steve Cutts, PharmD, RPh 

Steve Cutts is senior vice president, specialty & clinical solutions. In this role, Cutts leads Prime’s clinical talent, strategies and thought leadership across both pharmacy and medical benefit drugs to deliver a holistic enterprise clinical approach and improved client experience. 

Previously, Cutts was vice president of pharmacy services and clinical strategy at Magellan Rx. In this role, he led clinical account-facing staff, drug evaluation and policy development, and clinical program development across Magellan Rx’s business units.   

Prior to joining Magellan Rx, Cutts began his career as a retail pharmacist, eventually transitioning to managed care. He held various clinical and strategic leadership roles, where his area of focus was clinical program development and implementation, particularly within the Medicare Star ratings and HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) space.   

Cutts earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Rhode Island (URI). He also serves as an adjunct clinical assistant professor of pharmacy practice at URI and mentors sixth-year pharmacy students as a preceptor. He is a registered pharmacist in the state of Rhode Island.
