Mike Edwards

As president, markets, Mike Edwards oversees Prime Therapeutics’ growth and client engagement across all market segments and client types, including commercial and government programs.

Edwards joined Prime with more than 25 years of experience building and leading high-performing teams within pharmacy, technology and customer engagement.

Most recently, Edwards served as chief executive officer at MedMinder and chief commercial officer at Truveris. Prior to that, Edwards held various executive roles at Optum, including president, commercial markets at OptumRx, UnitedHealth Group’s pharmacy business. Edwards also served as chief growth officer, where he led go-to-market functions, including sales and account management across all market segments. Additionally, Edwards held various senior leadership roles at Catamaran (now OptumRx), Medco and Express Scripts.

Edwards earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Rutgers University as well as a master’s degree in international business finance and a Master of Business Administration in the management of technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
