Prime Therapeutics named 2019 Business Excellence winner
Dakota County Regional Chamber honors Prime as dynamic area employer and vital corporate citizen
November 4, 2019DCRCC recognized Prime for significant growth while cultivating a positive workplace culture that values community service and charitable giving. An important phase of that growth included Prime’s new Eagan headquarters facility established in October 2018 and completed in 2019. The over 400,000 sq. ft. facility is home to Prime’s IT and operations teams and is flexible enough to accommodate staff from four existing locations and allow for future growth. The strategic building design contains workspaces to support how teams collaboratively work and many amenities that today’s workforce desires.
Giving back to the communities in which it operates is central to Prime’s mission. Its PrimeCares program – which promotes a corporate culture that values health, community involvement and social responsibility – was highlighted during the program. PrimeCares includes wellness and volunteer efforts for its employees, a generous giving and matching donation program that supports five national and local health-focused charities, and funding to support our service areas affected by natural disasters. Earlier this year, Prime formed a Diversity & Inclusion Council to demonstrate its commitment to a better workplace for all people by valuing a wide array of abilities, viewpoints and celebration of all individuals.
And, in terms of bringing jobs to Dakota County, Prime employs approximately 3,400 employees with more than 2,100 in Minnesota – and nearly 10 percent of those employees live near the Eagan facility.
Over its 20 plus year history Prime has grown substantially and attracted many talented people. Prime’s goal is to maintain that success as it continues to add clients and expand its data analytics and customer experience capabilities. With the health care industry changing rapidly Prime is well-positioned to attract the best people to lead the way in this transformation.
Other awards presented at the Business Excellence Gala include: Small Business Excellence, Community Impact, Above and Beyond, Legacy, and Inclusionary Employer of the Year. Prime and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota were among the evening’s sponsors.
