While New Orleans is usually known for its legendary musical roots, distinctive 18th-century architecture, and savory dishes, this week, from April 15–18, the bustling city will host the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) 2024 Annual Meeting, which is expected to attract more than 5,000 industry leaders, health care professionals, researchers and more, committed to advancing the field of managed care pharmacy.  

At this week’s event, which expects to set attendance records, Prime Therapeutics/Magellan Rx Management (Prime/MRx) Clinical and Health Outcomes teams will present eight research studies that evaluate real-world drug utilization, managed care pharmacy programs and associated costs of care for conditions including obesity, cardiovascular disease, cancer and multiple sclerosis.  

Our experts also will share additional insights during five educational sessions, spanning topics such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonists for chronic weight management, mandatory drug wastage programs, cell and gene therapy management, navigating Medicare’s health equity–related changes and interchangeable biosimilars.
