Impacted: Health plan clients

Vikki Ahern, vice president & general manager of Medicare & Managed Medicaid, has announced her plan to retire from Prime Therapeutics (Prime). Her last day will be Oct. 10, 2025. 

Vikki’s dedication and leadership have made a lasting impact that has delivered meaningful results over the past few years. Her guidance has helped shape Prime’s Government Programs strategy, strengthen our partnerships and deliver innovative solutions. From launching the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan (M3P) and Enrollment capabilities to expanding and launching our Medicare Bid and Star Ratings & Quality Centers of Excellence, Vikki’s work has helped Prime respond more effectively to client needs, resulting in stronger partnerships that have enabled a better member experience. 

She also played a key role in standing up the Government Programs Advisory Council (GPAC) and other collaborative forums that have ensured client voices remain central to our strategy. These platforms will continue to guide our work and reflect the legacy of partnership she leaves behind. 

To support a smooth transition, Jason Moore, vice president, Government Programs Client Strategy, will step in to lead the team on an interim basis. Jason has worked closely with Vikki and is well-positioned to continue supporting our shared priorities. We will be backfilling Vikki’s role and will begin the recruiting process shortly.
