Our yearlong managed care residency program gives residents experience in a variety of different rotation areas while being full members of our clinical team. You won’t find that with other residency programs.

As part of our managed care residency program, you will:

• Evaluate and balance clinical, financial and government considerations to produce a patient-focused and therapeutically complete drug list (formulary)
• Determine the need for and design a utilization management program to reduce drug misuse and improve member health
• Assess, develop and provide a medication therapy management program
• Use and expand their knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid
• Consult with Prime clients about pharmacy benefit design strategies
• Understand the specialty pharmacy process, formation of pharmacy networks and business operations
• Develop a holistic specialty strategy (including management opportunities across the pharmacy benefit, medical benefit and distribution channels)
• Serve as a liaison between the health plan and Prime
• Present your research at national meetings and assist with development
