Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease of the central nervous system which includes the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. MS interrupts the flow of information from the brain to the body. Symptoms will vary based on where inflammation and damage occur. At this time, no one knows exactly what causes MS. Research is ongoing.
