Diversity, equity and inclusion

Diversity, equity, and inclusion matters. When an employee feels safe to be who they are and express their unique views, then everyone thrives.

A culture that promotes and cultivates diversity, equity and inclusion

Different perspectives often lead to more collaboration and innovation. We work every day to be open and inviting to people of all backgrounds. Appreciating diversity leads to celebration and support of the uniqueness within the workforce. Committing to diversity helps serve our clients and members more effectively.

Diversity & Inclusion Council

Employee commitment

The council champions diversity and inclusion awareness through initiatives, communications, community outreach and other events. Staffed by employees, it has sponsored enterprise-wide training on bias, along with listening sessions to give employees a safe space to reflect, share and ask questions on diversity and inclusion topics. The committee also sponsors community events such as Pride festivals, neighborhood clean ups and food shelf assistance.

Prime Together Foundation

Having strategic partnerships helps address inequality and injustice in all its manifestations, particularly racism, poverty, health and hunger. Together with our partners, more than $200,000 has been raised for the foundation.

Employee resource groups (ERGs)

A variety of employee-led networking and professional groups designed to foster diversity, inclusion and relevancy among like-minded employees who often share a common characteristic are available to employees.

Member experience

Embracing differences

Culture, family dynamics, belief systems and other characteristics can affect health care and outcomes. That understanding helps deliver a better member experience. Multilingual member communications and contact center support, a Spanish and a large font member website are important pieces to the member experience.

Continuous progress

We’ve made strides towards an inclusive culture

Over time, we’ve continually strengthened our commitment to promote and cultivate diversity, equity and inclusion with our employees, clients and communities.
