As Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Valerie Ruttenberg oversees Prime's Legal and Compliance team in addition to Prime's Facilities, Safety, and Security department.
Valerie joined Prime with nearly 20 years of experience as an attorney in the health law field. From 1991 to 2004, Valerie served as senior counsel at both Medtronic, Inc. and Express Scripts, Inc. Valerie has counseled companies on various aspects of Medicare and Medicaid fraud and reimbursement issues, compliance and HIPAA requirements. She has provided complex legal analysis and management in general business, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning in the United States, Canada and worldwide.
Valerie earned her bachelor's degree from Yale University in 1982 and her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987, where she was executive editor of the Journal of International Business Law.
