Five words guide everything we do at Prime Therapeutics. They represent how each of us should act, and are the baseline for what we should expect and receive from others. They inspire us to respect each other, work harder and think bigger. They help us keep our daily experiences in perspective, so that we maintain a strong, unwavering focus on what we need to accomplish and the needs of those we serve.
We work with purpose because what we do matters, our members depend on us, and there is a lot to accomplish. Our time and resources are valuable and must always be put to the best possible use. Just as Prime has an organizational purpose, we, as individual employees must also work and plan our work with intention. We are each responsible for ensuring that our daily work activities have a defined and understood purpose that ties into something we need to achieve and aligns with our organization's priorities. Our activities should have specific expected outcomes that we can measure. Activities without a purpose take away from work that can make a difference.
We communicate with candor. We are respectful, forthright and transparent. We mean what we say. We have the courage to raise and discuss issues openly with the intent of helping to make things better. Candor is consistently reflected in our words and actions, building a culture of trust and openness. It ensures the right discussions are taking place and improves our working environment and results.
We remain accountable to members, clients, co-workers and the business. We own what we do as both individuals and as teams. We have an obligation to not only identify issues or inefficiencies but to work to find and implement improvements. When faced with a challenge, we seek to understand "what can I do to help reach resolution" versus "who can I blame." We all are responsible for our performance as a company, and helping our members get the medicine they need to feel better and live well.
We take an active approach to shaping our own destiny by being fully engaged in our work, in making Prime a better company, and in the broader health care industry. In every interaction we have, we demonstrate thought leadership. We are focused on finding ways to make a positive difference in both the environment we work and the lives of our members.
