Peter Wickersham

Senior Vice President, Cost of Care

As Prime Therapeutics' Senior Vice President of Cost of Care, Peter Wickersham manages Prime's Clinical, Network Pharmacy and Trade Relations teams and leads Prime's efforts to optimize the cost-effective use of prescription drugs for its clients and to deliver innovative clinical programs that increase the health and well-being of its members.

With the integration of medical and pharmacy care at the center of Prime's value proposition, Peter focuses Prime's cost of care efforts beyond the traditional pharmacy to include how it links with on-going client care management efforts in order to deliver a superior outcome for patients. Peter comes to Prime with a wealth of experience in many aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, including clinical research, product development, contract negotiations, statistical analysis, information technology and operations.

Peter served most recently as Vice President of Operations at CIGNA Pharmacy Management and prior to that as a Principal in Mercer's pharmacy practice and as the Vice President of Manufacturer Relations and Product Development for Aetna.

After studying pre-medicine as an undergraduate, Peter received a Masters in Applied Statistics and a Masters in Nuclear Science and Engineering from Louisiana State University in addition to an Executive Masters in Technology Management from the University of Pennsylvania.
