Eric Elliott

President and Chief Executive Officer

As Prime Therapeutics' President and Chief Executive Officer, Eric Elliott is responsible for all operating and strategic aspects of the full service pharmacy benefit management company - to include clinical, claims adjudication, member services, new business development, mail-order pharmacy and specialty pharmaceuticals management. With nearly $12 billion in annualized drug spend under management, Prime is the fourth largest pharmacy benefit manager in the nation, servicing 18 health plans, other smaller PBMs, and employer direct customers.

Critical to the success of Prime is leadership in its partnership with Blue Plans to ensure members receive the highest quality of care while managing to the appropriate pharmaceutical cost and trend. With focus on the total health outcome, working with their clients across the medical and pharmacy benefit (especially in areas such as specialty pharmaceuticals) is essential.

With experience running two integrated PBMs, he is skilled in leading and growing businesses, including driving growth in mail service and specialty pharmacy channels. His aggressive and innovative business leadership is focused on helping clients and individuals obtain the maximum value from their pharmacy benefits.

Eric previously served as president of CIGNA's Pharmacy Management (CPM) and Voluntary businesses and has held senior executive level positions at Aetna, PCS HealthSystems and Rite Aid Corporation.

Eric received his bachelor's degree in management and finance, and an MBA from Temple University in Philadelphia. He serves on the Board of Directors of Prime and on the Board of Directors for PCMA (Pharmaceutical Care Management Association), the national association representing America's pharmacy benefit managers. Eric is also a member of the Executive Leadership Team for the Twin Cities chapter of the American Heart Association.
