URAC Accredited

The URAC PBM accreditation program is designed to encourage PBM industry best practices, promote quality improvement and protect and empower consumers. The URAC standards development process is consensus driven, with hundreds of industry experts serving as volunteers to establish and revise appropriate industry benchmarks. Prime received URAC accreditation for pharmacy benefit management standards in November 2007 and accreditation for medication therapy management programs in 2008.

Center for Health Value Innovation Membership

Prime joined the Center for Health Value Innovation as the first participant from the pharmacy benefit manager industry. The Center for Health Value Innovation is a non-profit organization that collaborates with leading organizations to develop and promote innovative value-based health strategies.

Pharmaceutical Care Management Association Membership

In January 2008, Prime became a member of the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA). PCMA is the national association representing America's pharmacy benefit managers. PCMA offers a full range of lobbying, advocacy and business networking services and is actively engaged in developing new, and expanding existing resources.

TIPPS Certified

In September 2008, Prime received its Transparency in Pharmaceutical Purchasing Standards (TIPPS) certification for the second consecutive year. The TIPPS initiative calls for adherence to six drug purchasing transparency standards, including providing acquisition costs for all drugs through mail-service and specialty pharmacy.
